Hello Gertrude,
HELP A STUDENT GROW
Attached is a bank draft of $200.00 from Akonua and Kwama Children’s Literacy Foundation to a student at SAIT for his exemplary services in his community and above all refused to accept a gift for his services.
Name of student ---- A J
Department ---------- Heavy Duty Mechanics
Tel: ----------------------825- 994-0041
During last summer holidays a senior helped a newly arrived immigrant couple to move to their new house. While driving back home the fan belt on his car broke so he drove slowly until he reached home. At his back alley the old man saw AJ working on a car in his garage so he said to him, son could you check my car for me? A J followed the old man to his car and found that the fan belt must be replaced. He stopped the work that he was doing, closed his garage and drove the old man to a parts shop to pick a new fan belt. After fixing the fan belt the old man tried to pay AJ but he refused to accept the payment. In the digital generation for a youth to refuse money for his services is uncommon. A J’s behavior shows that SAIT trained him well ready to serve his community plus good morals from home.
AKCLF has a donors choice program in our charity therefore the old man donated the above stated amount to us to hide his identity. Hence donating this draft to SAIT to enable you to honor AJ’s exemplary services last summer. I think he has just completed his Heavy-Duty Mechanical program and is looking for a permanent job now. Thank you.
