Launching of Computer Lab October, 2013
THIS IS NOW!!! What a transformation!.
Results of hard work and unwavering support from well-wishers, Obama College Computer lab is now ready to challenge students' creativity and aspirations
During the months of September and October, 2013 the staff of Obama College, the community in Mankessim, local carpenters, electricians, AKCLF scholarship alumni , representative of AKCLF in Ghana, American Peace Corps volunteer, all teamed up to start building the computer lab. This very important task was being overseen by Mr Edmund Brako, Obama College School Administrator.
Soon thereafter the completion of works in October 2013, eight new Gateway computers and 1 printer were purchased and installed. As at present time, the college students have already started using the computers for their day to day use and college assignments
We are very grateful to Mr. George A Ben-Smith, the Director of Compu-Mall Ltd Cape Coast whose company supplied these computers. His very personal involvement to ensure timely delivery of the computer shipment from his store in Cape Coast to Obama College in Mankessim, helping set up the computers and certainly the
special computer pricing discount he gave us for this educational venture is very much appreciated
In the meanwhile, Internet Service Providers in Cape Coast are scheduled to install internet service by end
of the year. Beginning early next year, the computer lab will be fully functional.
AKCLF wishes to thank everybody involved for their unwavering support.
